Moscow Mules

Pinch-pucnch, first day of the month...

Anyhoo, so my mum tried making ginger beer, copious amounts of the stuff. So in order to hasten the getting-rid-of the batch she had burdened me with I bought a bottle of vodka in order to knock-up some Moscow mules.

But this led to a small heated discussion that split those involved amongst two sides, one fervently believing that a Moscow Mule is Vodka and Ginger Beer, the other's insisting they comprise of Vodka and Ginger ale. So in order to put this argument to an end someone was dispatched to procure some ginger ale (and some more vodka ofcourse) so we could sample which is better.

Now we are split into four sides, the ones who prefer ale, but think it's beer, those who think its ale and prefer ale, those who think its ale and prefer beer, and those who think it's beer and prefer beer.

Although there was a fifth, much more mercenary side...Dan just put beer and ale in together. I think the Nobel Peace prize is in the mail...

Boneless bites...

Have you had those new KFC Sweet Chilli Boneless bites? If not, why not? They're AMAZING!!!!

Anyway, this craze that seems to be gripping all the software/web designers, you know the one I mean, where everything is "integrated". I mean like, I log into gmail, it logs me into blogspot, and god-knows what else, it's getting on my tits. I, like presumably alot of other people out, there have to share my computer with someone else. Say I'm in the middle of writing a post, and the other half wants to have a quick look at his email while I'm getting a drink, it logs me out of blogspot. Just a little annoying lol

And in closing I have one other small comment to make. While having crazy hot make-up sex up against a wall that's still got wet paint on it might be AMAZING at the time, trying to wash brown emulsion paint out of yours and his pubes afterwards isn't so great...

That moment when you think "Sweeeeet"

You know it hit me today, everything is sweet. Infact, it's schweeeeeet.

Everything

Absolutly everything in my life, at this moment in time is going perfectly, and it has been for a while now, and I only just realised it. It was like this epiphany I had, I was just sitting there in the new flat, painting a door frame and it clicked. Its weird, even tho I didn't have any worries, or stresses until I'd actually realised I didn't have them properly, I didn't feel the benefit of it, but now I have I've got this lovely warm content feeling...

Anyhoo, so what have I been listening to lately? Well, Kanye West's new album ofcourse, because it's amazing. But so is Kano's new album (ESPECIALLY the track with Damon Albarn I LOVE it), and Kate Nash's and I've also been revisiting alot of old Bob Dylan Stuff. Biograph, Blonde on Blonde, Bob Dylan, as well as some older Dire Straits and Eric Clapton stuff...

Your regular programming will now be resumed

So I'm back...

Again...

Someone reminded me about this place to I thought I'd get back into it.

Not alot's changed really, still with Dan, still in the flat, although that's gunna change soon. Moving into another place, quite a bit bigger, he's doing all the decorating, I'm picking out the colours. Got a new job too, working for a small advertising/photography company, s'all good.

Gone with a new colour scheme for the blog too, nice and airy lol

So, to get the ball rolling a review of a restaurant...The place is called Giraffe and it's in the Lakeside Shopping Center, out on the fancy walk by the lake part if you know the place. It's kinda hard to pidgeon-hole it's flavour. It's kinda American cuisine with undertones of Caribbean, Thai and Indian...The food is great, especially if you like a bit of spice or burgers, seriously, they have like 12 different types of burger.

Oh, and their Mai-Tai's are to DIE for!

Settling in...

So we've pretty much got everything unpacked and in it's place, the place is starting to look really nice. I never really thought of myself as that kind of girl, but I'm thinking things like "A nice rug would look good there" or "A throw would go well there".

Not really seen as much of Dan as I'd like lately, to be honest I probably see no more of him now we're living together than I did before, yeah we always sleep in the same bed now, but he's so busy with work. He's technically just bar/general staff in a pool/snooker hall owned by a "kinda mate" of his (Rob). Now this Rob also owns a pretty upmarket night club, a bar and a restaurant, of which he manages the night club and pool/snooker hall, and employs managers for the other two. Now for one reason or another Dan's pretty much managing the Snooker hall, so he's out a lot, sorting out time sheets and deliveries and stuff, every night this week I've been asleep before he's gotten in, I've tried to stay up, but not managed it. And tonight he's asleep and I'm not...sods law.

But he's happy, and the extra money is proving quite nice...but it's hardly a substitute...

So anyway, on a lighter note I drove Dan's Merc this morning for the first time. Now I put it in first to pull away, and it went backwards, Dan pissed himself laughing. Turns out it has some special gearbox for racing, and first is left and back, and reverse is left and forwards, how bloody stupid is that? He probably wouldn't have been laughing if I had hit something...

Well, nothing much more to report for now.

The changes that a'came

Well, quite a lot's changed recently...

  1. Moved into a flat with Dan, nice little place, technically two bedrooms, but the smaller one you could barely fit a single bed in, so we just have a desk in there, with 2 computers, and some other crap. Big master bedroom, really nice bathroom, nice big living-room/dining-room/kitchenette. We got a balcony and a double garage too!
  2. Dan's got a new car, a, now let me see if I can get this right, a Mercedes-Benz C 190E 2.5 16 Cosworth. It's really nice, although I'm a little scared to drive it.
  3. The photo-shoot went really well, might have another one soon!
  4. New net, 16 megs of pant wettingly high speed!
  5. Got some "wikkid sounds in mah car blud, innit!" Two 12" subs, a 1000watt amp and some nice speakers. Dan fitted it all for me, I feel so girl-racery. Must admit, Justin Timberlake's new album sounds really good through it.
Ok, so maybe not that much has changed, but the first thing is pretty major. Mostly 'been listening to Justin Timberlake, Amy Winehouse, Nelly Furtado, Aim and Beck's newest albums. Just watched "A Scanner Darkly", great film, would recommend it, I wanna see the new Ray Winstone films (The Departed, Breaking and Entering), but dunno when I'll get a chance.

Well, that's pretty much it for now, ciao...

Finally back on the net...

So I moved into a flat with Dan, so we've had no net until today. I'm all behind on lots of things, tons I wanna talk about too, but I've gotta do some stuff, so I'll go into more detail later or tommorrow.
